I have an Elco gas-condensing boiler Trigon 22, which is only 3 years old, and have an Annual maintenance agreement with Elco, who on their last six monthly visit had to replace the LMU.

They have subsequently invoiced me for £575 for this !

Surely this should be covered by the maintenance agreement ?

If not, then is £575 reasonable ?

You need to look at the terms & conditions for your maintenance agreement, to see what and what is not covered - you don't say how mauch the agreement costs, however the LMU is an expensive part (Control Box) so the price quoted is about right - but I would say it does not seem to include a discount for a Service Agreement customer, I think you could do well by going to an independent Heating maintenance company all the parts for Elco boilers are availible form MHS Boilers in Essex ;)

Elco have been in business for donkeys years in the 50's & 60's they used to make oil Burners imported into UK by a company called Corrie McColl they were of all things Banana Ripeners as well!

Elco make Domestic & Commercial gas fired Condensing boilers they seem quite good I service quite a few for a German Supermaket chain. they are imported by MHS Boilers (Basildon) ;)

Didn't they give you a quote first? Was the boiler working or broken down?

You can't go around changing whatever you like then sending someone a bill. Don't pay it. You never entered into a contract.
