Hi guys have been in a dilema for a while now. Been looking for a nice 24v SDS drill circa £150 on ebay even slightly used but turns out im going to have to pay a lot more for something decent with two batteries that actually work etc.
I have however thought, what if i get the aforementioned makita sds drill as a bare unit and since i have some 18V LXT tools already i.e. Impact driver, combi drill I can use the same batteries for the SDS and at 150 brand new with a carry case I thought its a good deal. But how good are these compared to the likes of hitachi 24v SDS drills
What difference does the 24v compared to 18v actually make in this situation. I need a SDS for signage, on sight we need something that can go through brick with ease and not have to use a cordless combi drill sitting there for ages whilst the drill sluggishly makes a hole. Would this do a good job?
Thanks in advance guys
