I have the XF100MH
Electro-Mechanical Humidity Control with on/off Switch adjustable
20-90% R

Is it designed to run any time that the humidity is above the set figure?

So installation..... Fan isolator switch and fuse outside the bathroom?

any advise welcome

Of course.

Follow the diagram that came with the fan. Also the fan installation stuff on the WIKI will help too.

I believe that model just needs liave and neutral, not a switched live. It comes on when the humidity gets too steamy and will run until it stops being so steamy. That's all it does.
