Manslaughter... or not

There is a specific and very old offence of Wanton and Furious Driving.. One element is that there must be an actual injury caused. merely riding dangerously is not enough.

There have been cyclists jailed for this.

In my opinion, the guy in that case comes across as being a complete t w a t.

Didn't realise it was a requirement to have a brake?!? And surely you have to factor in that pedestrians might be hard of hearing, wearing earbuds listening to music, or might not hear you because of surrounding noise.
 
You can just imagine some irate rider mowing down the peasants on his horse, shouting get out of the way back in the 1800s..

Yea because a massive % of them are complete idiots when it comes to road / people sense!
So if this massive bunch of idiots are on the road would that not be a hazard rather than segregated on a cycleway

No because they can then get run over by cars, buses, lorries and chickens!!

Probably had a name like 'king' at the end of it, too. A superiority complex will do that to the weak minded.
