marker pen on a paper lined wall - fix suggestions ?

Hi All,

We have a painted lined wall in the lounge and my daughter has decided to take her red felt tip from the book to the wall.

I've tried to paint over the marker but on drying, the red pen still shows through. It's had 2 coats so far.

Any advice on how to cover this up without having to have the wall re-lined and re-painted?
Would a stain blocker work then a re-paint over?

If you have any white oil based undercoat that will save you buying stain blocker

Yes a couple of coats of stain blocker will work , oil based UC will do but I prefer "Horses for courses"

Use the same tool to apply the stain block and cover paint as was used on the wall eg; brush, roller, pad or you will see a difference in texture that will stand out.
