We are trying to decide wether to buy a Marshall range cooker to run the heating and hot water, has anyone got one of these and can advise us as to running costs,we would be using oil.We have an oil boiler at the moment but it needs replacing and we are all electric for everything else,no gas. :?:

Only my personal opinion but I'd definitely ditch that idea, and focus on buying a top of the range oil boiler instead.
A Grant boiler would be my choice, but not everyone agrees!
John :)

Yep get a good boiler these stoves are ok but you cannot beat a dedicated boiler I had a Rayburn took it out and fitted a boulter and cut my oil bill by half keep it serviced and it will last for years and fit a fernox total filter on the return and you'll get no probs and join an oil club to get best prices for your oi
