Maytag soap dispenser repair

I have the parts to replace the cam and spring on the soap dispenser but I cannot get inside the door to replace them. I have pulled the front panel and removed the cardboard liner, there was nothing there but a metal panel. Can someone tell me how to get inside the door of a Maytag WU 482, please.
