Me hot water gone off !!! ??

Follow on from earlier thread. Alpha cb24x combi approx 8 years old. C.H. fires up but hot water wont. Good water pressure. Been told its probably the diverter valve. Is this d.i.y.able gents ??

There has been a lot of recent discussion about this common fault on that model.

I suggest you read all the discussions and reach your own decision as to your capabilities.

before ya start with the diverter gently remove the microswitch from the diverter valve and see if the boiler fire's, if doesn't chances are its just the switch

Fault found !! Microswitch mounted on diverter valve permanently open circuit. Diverter valve was ok as hot water ok when c.h. turned on !! i managed to suss the fault but "gas man" spot on!! Thanks all.
