Menvier TS690 Tamper fault

Hi,

I have just taken over an office that has a Menvier TS690 alarm system installed. The previous tenant left no detailed info on this system, however searching the web I found how to do a factory reset and input the engineers passcode and setup a new passcode. This worked all well and good, however I now get a message saying AUX/BELL TAMPER

I am not sure what is causing this and how to clear it, I have had the internal sounder disconnected, but it is now connected back up again, do I have to "clear" this fault?

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's probably the tamper switch on the external siren unit. Try linking out the terminals marked TR (tamper return) and 0V (0 volts.). You can link them out at the panel end.
