Hello all,
I have had a new patio door installed on a property I rent and I am slightly disapointed with the fitting. The property is over 100 miles aways so I have not seen it first hand however my father in law has taken a look and sent me some pictures... he is not impressed with the job.
After initial installation and inspection by father inlaw I was told there was a hole in the mortar which the sill is bedded on. I phone the company and they went round and said it had sunk back abit and filled it with mastic. (I was assuming they would fill the gaps with more mortar) The end result looks messy and is not quite what I was expecting for the £900 its costing.
However, Im fairly sure you cannot see the mess unless you bend down and look underneath the sill.... see attached photos. The rest of the door looks ok.
I am just after some advise or opinions as to what people think? not much can be done anyway as silicone wont come off the bricks easily. I haven't paid yet and my father in law thinks I should speak to the company about it...
Many thanks for any advice...
