Sorry this may sound a petty question but I'm getting paranoid about when the inspector calls!

I've slightly overestimated the depth of some of my metal boxes and when the walls are skimmed (double layer of p/b) they will be around 4or 5 mm below flush level. Does this matter?

Thanks, Bob

Gosh - don't we worry about daft things sometimes! On occasions the box is a LOT deeper than yours is. EG if it's in a kitchen you might have a layer of plaster then tiles. Manufacturers sell different length plate screws to cope with this. TBH, I'd rather have the box a little deeper to give plenty of room for the cable.

Now if it was protruding by 4mm THAT would be a different matter!
