Meter utility boxes

I have two of these which have been thoroughly sanded down with 400 g to a very smooth surface.

The windows are being painted with Sikkens Rubberol Satura after the same treatment. I checked to fact sheet which recommends using a primer for PVC but these are more of a hard plastic, would they be ok to paint directly or should I go with the primer?

open door 1 and do test paint on back of door/inside box side.

open door 2 and do test paint on back of door/inside box side.

then chose best result.

They will paint up with undercoat and gloss rubbed down well between coats. Thin the gloss down quite a bit and give a second coat of gloss if necessary

Thanks for the suggestions - will give them a try.

I noticed my neighbour has painted their's, so may ask as well.
