We have a 30+ year old house with a microbore (10mm) CH system of the same age. A new Glow-worm Spacesaver boiler - now kaputt - was fitted about 20 years ago.
So far as we are aware there has been little or no maintenance on any part of the system since the house was built.
Can a combi boiler be fitted into this microbore system.

Make sure the system is cleaned first. Many installers are now putting Magnaclean filters on the return to the boiler. This is a good idea as it collects sludge and keeps the whole system from sludging up.

Or maybe doesn't understand it. It has been around for as long as I know. I know of many 35 year old working today with one boiler change between.
