we have a Miele W149 washingmachine, which is 7 years old. Recently formed during the washing, too much foam, but we still use the same washing powder and the amount is the same. Who can help us?
thanks

In Cottons and Minimum iron programs the foam quantity in the main wash is measured via the pressure monitor/sensor. If too much foam is registered, the gentle action rhythm should activate. This reduces the amount of foam by initiating extended pauses. The foam quantity is checked before each reversing cycle. If excessive foam is then no longer registered, the normal wash rhythm is started again. At least that is what is supposed to happen.
Did you have a normal wash in the machine or very little clothes? Maybe you should try changing to another product/dosage & see how that works out.
I once heard of someone who put a little washing up liquid in their machine "to help give it a good clean out". Needless to say it didn't work out too well
