Mira Sport Max - cold water after 5 minutes

Having a problem with my Mira sport max. It seems to work fine for roughly 5 minutes then the water goes completely cold and I have to turn the shower off and on for the hot water to come back again.

None of the lights (overheat/low flow) come on when the water goes cold, it just makes a strange humming noise.

Any ideas what might be up?

Do you get any lights? Power level?

Not sure if you're familiar with this particular model but there's basically a on/off, high, medium, low light, overheat & low flow lights.

The high & on light are on (as would be expected) but none of the others, such as low flow/overheat. When the cold water comes on, none of the lights change but the shower starts making a weird humming noise.

If you turn it off, wait 20 secs and turn it back on, the hot water comes back on...but only for another few mins.

First thing to do is to open it up and inspect the internal wiring. It theres no loose bits or burnt bits, then open the switch on the ceiling/wall.

A burnt connection can manifest itself in the way you describe - intermittent power.

How old is it?
