Mirrored sliding doors. Decorating the framwork and rails

Got some wall to wall mirrored wardrobes. Dont really like them but to expensive to replace. So im looking at painting the frame and tarting up abit. Is there any special paint to use and how will repainting fair over time as the doors are on a rail and slide.
Will this look stupid as sliding will cut through the paint.

Any advice on anything else much appreciated

If you are talking about painting the track then the paint will chip off when it gets knocked.

Perhaps you could buy new track and keep the doors.

Yes its the track and frame around the doors that look unsightly especially as they are silver and we will be painting the room.
Im looking at getting a window film to put over the glass to tar them up but painting the frame and track is the stumbling block.

Could you disguise them with a timber architrave that you could decorate.
