can anyone help with this? the mixer shower worked ok for about a year, but has got worse over time and now wont stay hot,is it possible to repair the mixer or is the only only option to replace it?

If its a branded make you may be able to get a replacement cartridge if that is the problem.
There is always a possibility your boiler is faulty or wrongly adjusted to work with the shower.
Try turning a hot tap half on when you use the shower.
Measure the flow rate the boiler switches on in litres per minute.
