Modena 80e boiler overheating problem

Hi my mother in law has a Ferroli Modena 80e boiler, it started to overheat making the radiators boiling hot and the safety valve pour with water, i have checked the pump but that is fine, I'm guessing it is either the central heating sensor or the overheating sensor,

is there any 1 that can shed some light on this problem so I can get it sorted asap and save time changing things that don't need changing
