Yeah, I had no problems at all when my bike failed its test on paper thin rear brake pads. It was my own stupid, lazy arse fault for not even checking the thing over before I went. Strangely, last year the same tester at the same station advised on 'slightly notchy' steering yoke bearings but this year they weren’t even mentioned. Exact same thing happened 4 and 3 years ago with the same tester at another garage. I think they are so happy to find a genuine reason to fail that keeps their average fail rate within the national average that they forget any other little items that they normally advise on.
