I am replacing copper cylinder (indirect) but am not sure wether to stick to the two single motorized valves system which is allready there and working or replace it with a new three way port system, or does it not matter which way you have it? HELP!!!

why spend money on a y-plan when you have, i assume, a perfectly good s-plan?

there will be no noticeable difference and ill bet you wont enjoy the y-plan wiring much.

The current system has a better flow rate, more redundancy.

So I vote with Nickso. A 3 port would be a downgrade, especially if the boiler is over 80,000 BTu.
