Hi, wonder if someone can offer some advice on this - we have problems with mould in the front downstairs room of our house. It is a 1930's semi. We've found that any items of clothing (in suitcases) or footwear that are left on the floor (which is carpeted) start smelling mouldy within a period of time, the footwear and suitcases showing visible signs of mould. Also, legs on wooden furniture also need cleaning of it on a regular basis.

We do try to keep the windows open from time to time (perhaps not as much as we should), and there is a large radiator in the room, which is now back on for the winter. Strangely, I've never noticed any mould in the carpet, but this could simply be down to its dark oatmeal type colour, which hides most things! There is also a noticeable musty smell upon entering the room, which is more noticeable of late, perhaps with the change in weather.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
