Hi,

I had a new boiler pump fitted about a year ago as the old one packed up. I noticed recently that there is a sort of blue/green mould growing on the pipes around the new pump.

The boiler is in a small-ish cupboard and I do put damp things in there to dry occasionally. I'm not sure whether it is genuinely mould, or whether it is the copper pipes oxidising (as I think they go green-ish?).

Any suggestions as to what might be happening?! Thanks

Sounds like there may be a slight leak from one or both of the pump connections.

Clean off with wire wool and check for slight leaks with a light coloured tissue. Green on copper pipes can often be flux residue.

agree with gas4you certainly seems like that. Lazy sod should wipe any excess flux off before soldering .
