Hi - our 1930s house has stone mullions which have been painted with layers of gloss paint. We’ve started the long process of stripping off the paint and understand we need to treat with some kind of sealant and and then repaint with a breathable paint. We are new to this so wondered if someone could recommend what products we should use to treat the mullions and the best type of breathable paint? Many thanks! Photos attached

So you want to "seal" stone and then paint with "breathable" paint?

You can treat the mullions with bleach or mould will continue to live under new paint. If moisture is coming from the outside, then sealing should be done from the outside. If there is condensation on the glass, that would suggest the moisture is from inside the house.

Thank you - yes sealing the external part. Any recommendations for suitable paint?
