Hello all,

I am currently building a garden office for my wife and have sourced two older style Velux roof windows in good condition (they are genuine Velux) that have previously been fitted.

As I am inserting into a brand new roof I am unsure what depth the outer carcass should be mounted so that the flashing kit will sit correct.

Rafters are 150mm and the windows are 78cm x 55cm. The roof will have membrane, 24mm batons and then reclaimed rosemary tiles.

There are 5 differing height ridges on the carcass to attach the original supplied brackets. Unsure what type of roof they were removed from but the brackets were mounted with the lugs in groove 3 (see pics).

Any ideas which groove I should use?

Cheers!

If your batons are 24mm go for the grove which works with 24mm batons.... (19-30mm)
