I'm currently doing my bathroom up and this will mean moving the Rad, at the moment the pipes for the bathroom radiator come straight through the wall from the bedroom as all the pipes are above the floor boards.

now as i need to move these pipes i'm thinking off putting them under the floor boards. how difficult would this be?

i've done some pipe work before but i've never soldered.

can you use yorkshire fittings on central heating?

any help/advise would be gratefully appreciated.

not very normally

why use yorkshire if you cant solder use compression

I would prefer to use solder as i thought that was the proper way to do it.

Do yorkshire fitting have the solder inside them already? do you just heat them and let the solder melt? or do you need to use more solder?

they have a solder ring inside them

clean pipe and fitting apply flux assemble joint apply heat

try not to disturb the joint till it cools

its not a bad idea to have a practice first with a couple of offcuts of tube

cheaper than a new ceiling ;)
