Hi - need some advice....I need to move a bathroom to a different location in a bungalow with a solid floor. The hot/cold can go up through the roof void and down stud walls but I can't decide what to do about the soil pipe.
Option 1: Break/dig a trench in the floor approx 4m long and connect to pipe used by existing WC. Hard work and I am concerned about re-instating the dpc membrane....would this be a problem? I can't see how it would be possible to join it or overlap in a trench.
Option 2: Connect to an underground pipe at the front of the property and run 8m around the front/side of the house....more digging but might be less work overall as the pipe can go through the wall above ground level.
Advice please.....
