My central heating isnt working please help

I have a Towerstat RS room stat, a Grasslin QE2 and a glow worm micron 40ff boiler.
I had an intermittent problem where the room stat light would be on, but the rads werent warm, and when i turned the stat down the light didnt go off, it just got dimmer. I then had to switch the system off at the main switch and switch it back on to get the heating working again so i thought it was the stat on the way out.
Now, the heating isnt coming on at all so i went and bought a new towerstat rs but it still isnt working. The hot water side is working, its only the heating.
Could it be the Grasslin thats faulty or something else??

I have 1 drayton mid position actuator if thats it

put the heating on only at programmer.
their is a marker on the side. W M H what is it pointing to ?

should be on H.
you haven't got the water on at all have you ?

The water is off at the main board only the heating is on and its pointing to M

on the otherside is a black button push it in and the top box will pull off upwards.
does the arrow marker move when the top is off.

The unit is mounted upside down and there is a black button but i press it and nothing happens. There is another black button thing on what would be the top of the unit. Im not sure what you mean

where the W M H is on the oppersite side to that a little black button.
not the end one. it releases the top box off the brass valve if pushed in.
