Does it lock with a cable and a bolt going into the top of the door frame OR do metal arms go into the side of the frame.

Is there any chance you didn't drive your car far enough in and now as you turn the handle the mechanism on the inside is catching on the boot lid or bumper or something?

Wouldn't be the first time that's happened!

The door has two rods that move with the handle mate.

no the cars no where near the door

thanks for replying boys.

If I get an expert in how the f the gonna open it?
Angle grinder I hope not ha

If You can get through the gap at the side of the door at the bottom, and see the locking mechanism you might be able to get a reciprocating saw to cut them off.

Are the latches not at the top?
and there's only a few mil gap lol

Top bottom it does not matter a reciprocating saw blade is less than 2mm thick and you can prize open the garage door a bit more with a spade or something.

This can happen when there isn't enough tension in the wires that run to the latches at the sides. Same thing happened to my garage last summer.

Is the door handle in the middle of the door or closer to the bottom?

Mine was 1/4 up the door and, like you not getting in was not an option. So I tied a towrope to the handle, with the other end on my other car (which happens to be a 2 ton 4x4 :)) and just pulled. Door popped open with zero damage.

I tensioned up the wires and all was well since then.

You definitely need to assess the risk, tho. Worst case is that the latches pull the runners off the wall. Slightly worse case than that is that the handle zaps off the door and goes through your rear windscreen.
But... You've got to get in somehow...

Usual burglars trick is to pull the bottom cornerr out, can you pull it out far enough that you can ooperate the catches?
