I live in a mid terraced house and the rear has a single story pitched roof extension. Last week during a torrential rainfall my kitchen roof started dripping water from one of the downlights. The following day I noticed that my house gutter was overflowing onto the extension roof.
My problem is that the gutter was clogged with leaves but even after cleaning water sat without dispersing. The only downpipes are on my neighbours property so I guess that I need to add one so that the water drains down.
Question is should the downpipe be linked to the guttering on my pitched roof single story extension or should it just drop down onto the roof?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
