Doing extension and need to move Virgin Media cable to a new room while everything is open. Problem is that only way to move/extend cable which is connected to VM box is to run it under floor but not possible to do without lifting floor boards which is not an option as that room is not going to be refurbished in the nearest future, so the only option I have to use second VM cable which runs from loft to the router for internet.
Is it possible to:
a) use internet cable for TV as well
b) put a splitter on it and run separate high quality triple shielded coax to router and to VM TV box in new location?
Splitters I am thinking of using are these
http://www.screwfix.com/p/4-way-splitter-with-powerpass-all-ports/69265
or http://www.screwfix.com/p/labgear-professional-splitter-6-way/48074
I had an isolator on the cable coming in from the loft with one input and two outputs, and white coax connected to one isolator output going to modem. Can this isolator work as splitter if I connect another RG9 cable to the second out and to VM TV box?
Thanks
