Neff microwave clock

I have a neff microwave and it works perfectly all except the digital clock timer it shows black after using, sometimes stays on sometimes goes off so you cannot time the next dish ,
when it shows the digits are not as bright as they used to be
any help would be appreciated

Just Guessing but you probably need a new operating module http://www.espares.co.uk/part/micro...95/1126/0/657980/752074/operating-module.html a bit pricey!

when you say operating module does that control the clock only and why not a clock module only if all else is working
me being a lemon head altogether it seems odd

I couldn't find a clock module & presumed it is part of the control module, which is why I said it was a guess.
