Nest vs Aico

Hello,

I'm planning to install the Aico 3000 range into my renovation project. However, for some rooms, Aico has suggested installing two detectors as they do not do some detectors combined with CO.

Cost-wise, they are very similar.

Has anyone had any real experience with the Nest mains connected detectors and are they just as good?

I’ve no experience of the Nest ones, but plenty of Aico, I’d certainly recommend them.

What would you do in the situation where you need two in one room. How would you mount on ceiling?

I would fit 2 alarms in that room, unless it was a dual alarm, such as the ei3028, suitable for the kitchen and garage. They come with some fittings, but if it’s plasterboard, then I recommend using them.
