In control panel wiring, it is often found the neutral is wired through a removal Fuse type holder containing a solid link.
Does anyone know why this is done as opposed to a solid screwed neutral.

I know some isolators etc have a removable neutral link for testing, so do not know if it is for similar reasons and if there is any requirement for this to be fitted.

Let's you isolate the equipment completely by pulling a fuse on the live and a "fuse" on the neutral?

For testing purposes I think, the neutral links in the larger panels which I am used to are usually in a white holder as opposed to the fuses which are in black holders. Some are in klippons though which is why you'd need trained people to work with them!
