I have fitted new doors throughout the house, pine with Cerejeira veneer. Each door has had three coats of Dulux trade satin polyurethane varnish. It is quite a dry house but all the doors have remained stable over as long as five years.

However the airing cupboard door has taken a strong curve, bulging outwards in the middle as I suspected it would, due I guess to the inside face drying in the intense warmth and dryness of the cylinder. I am making sure we always keep it latched shut and I'm hoping that eventually the timber will dry right through and the curve will correct itself.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hmm, yes, I fitted extra middle hinges on all the other doors but didn't bother with this one! It would certainly help.
