New build combi install - drain.

Hi,

We are being quoted for a new combi in a new build and I've been advised that a drain should be added to the boiler room or a box that goes in the ground (I can't remember for what waste material).

Is a drain best or box in the ground? as I can add the drain now whilst building? if so does it have to be any particular diameter/material etc and does this connect to the waste pipe?

a drain to main sewer. it's for the condensate from the boiler
