Hi guys, I've ordered a new carpet for the upstairs of my house and just wanted to get your thoughts on something prior to the fitters arriving...

There is an oak stairway and on the last tread there is quite a big lip (1cm). see attached. I didn't intend on using underlay as the floor is underfloor heated and carpet felt backed. How would you address the issue?

I have a similar problem when joining to tiles in a bathroom but feel that should be easily resolved.

Any thoughts would be great.

Many thanks,

Devs.

Use a Z bar metal trim or a incizo wood trim. Or build up the floor with a Screeding compound.
