I am in the process of having a new extension being built with the brickwork to match the existing property. I've found a local firm to supply and erect the brickwork but I have noticed that quite a few of the newly laid bricks have hairline cracks in them. I have uploaded a few pictures with yellow marked pointers to the cracks which is easily visible if one can zoom in. The bricks look weak to me, can anyone tell me if these cracks are normal or a defect in the bricks, the original bricks to the existing property have no cracks along the stretchers. I"m concerned about possible ingress of water and frost damage. I would welcome an opinion from any brick experts out there who could let me know whether I'm being silly or is there cause for concern. View attachment 124740 View attachment 124741
