hi there, i am about to start a new garage build in 9" brick work,

1, i am wondering to what depth and what width the footings should be ?
(the wall run will be around 10meters long * 4meters)

2, also how do i join two damp proof membranes together in the floor slab ?

3, i am going to buils an internal wall also soild brick 9" can i build this of the floor slab 6" slab or will i have to do a footing for this?

4, in the corner i will have a plastic tube coming through the floor to run the power cables, but how do i bring this in through floor and the membrane ?

many thanks

dig out for slab about a foot deep then, about 4inch hard core and tampered down run pipe above this put some rope through pipe so you can pull your SWA cable through and then membrane over top and overlap and tape joints with packaging tape the brown stuff, should be about 6-8 inch for slab. Build on top of that.
