New gas hob connection

Will a new gas hob connect into this bayonet fitting or do i need a gas engineer out?

It will state what is acceptable in the MI. Usually though a hob will need a gas valve and rigid pipe and therefore a GSR engineer to install.

Cheers. What can i ezpect to pay for this sp i dont get robbed?
 
Depends where you are in the country and how quickly you want it doing. If you're looking to have it done before New Year, probably £150, otherwise closer to £100 assuming the new hob fits in the hole left by the existing one. If worktop trimming is required it'll cost more
