new roof

Hi
I am about to finish off the roof on a new extension. (lean to, single pitch at 12.5 degrees)
and would like some comments/advice on construction before its too late to change any thing.

The sketch shows the side view. the extension is 4.3m long (internal).
Is it sufficient that the beam supporting the rafters is fixed into the side walls?
Should it be bolted to the house wall?
The house walls are engineering brick and almost impossible to drill without knocking the bricks out.

Should the purlins for the cieling joists be strapped to the walls?

Is the use of angle brackets sufficient to hold the rafters to the purlins and other timbers?

Am suffering a crisis of confidence.

You could bolt the beam to the wall of the house .Purilns do not need to be strapped like the wall plate does.

The internal size is 2.5m

so why the purlin?

The roof span is 4.3 m. The extension is long and narrow (unfortunatley)- hence the purlin.
