New shower waste

Evening folks, bit of a novice question really. I've unpacked our new shower tray and it doesn't seem to have a conventional waste trap fitted.



Do I just connect that pipe straight to my waste pipe connection?

Homebase, it's the aqualux sapphire unit, I've read the manual and there's no reference to it.

Whatever you choose to do, get rid of that corrugated monstrosity!

A photo of the other side would confirm that it's a trap

Just change it for a standard top access shower trap, and go from there with conventional waste pipe. Best place for that thing is the bin.

It looks like an unbranded shower trap - personally I'd fit one of these:
