Hi,

Wonder if anyone could help. Bought a new washing machine last week but just realised that the old one is hot and cold feed and new one is cold only.

Looked under the sink and problem is a self cutting tap has been used but this is an old type of tap which has the hot feed hose attached to it, e.g. cannot take the hot hose out and use a 3/4 blanking nut on the outlet.

This means that I will have to keep the hot hose at the back of the machine. Was wondering if anything existed to blank the end of the hose, e.g. the opposite of a blanking nut? Would a brass flanged plug work? Or is my olny option to remove the section of pipe (under the kitchen hot tap) and plumb in a new section?

Help needed....

Yes, you can get such a plug quite easily from a plumbers merchant. You need a 3/4" male blanking plug.
