The BIG timber connects 8 (or 10) prefab oak mansard roof trusses together, which are made of the same size timber.

The joists you can see are just standard sized joists, nothing special about them, obviously other than the triples, which will form the support for 1 of 3 skylights.

Oh - so much for trying to interpret photos - they looked like big ones to me!

Don't even want to know what these trusses cost! Second photo is a 'standard' 150x50 joist. They are GIANT pieces of timber
