Nightmare Bath Plumbing

The tails on the tap will be 3/4 BSP not 22mm. Copper tube is 15mm and 22mm. Taps ar generally 1/2" , 3/4" and 1".

Cheers swb. Apologies to steady. I thought the tap was also 22mm for some reason.

Just another area where we've ended up with a mix of imperial and metric.

What's the benefit of adding the isolator valves?

And does it really matter that the pipes to the bath are 15mm?

Isolation valves are a suggestion as they make life easier for any future servicing/replacement of the taps but are not essential so long as you have a reliable means of isolation elsewhere.
A lot of bath taps are now supplied by 15mm pipe-not a problem in cases where the water is mains pressure anyway. Gravity supplied hot and cold is usually in 22mm though a bit of 15mm for the last 12 inches or even a short small bore flexi to the taps never hurt anytbody.

Mike8578, wouldn't be easier to take the panel back to the shop or sell it and make your own panel - a piece of external grade ply cut to size and stick ties to it.

vv - Could do but I'm going to see how it goes with steady's suggestion.

We had this problem when fitting our new bath recently as the floor in the bathroom of our 100+ year old house is far from level. We just cut a long wedge shaped bit of wood, painted it white and wedged the bath panel in place with it, it looks fine :)

Ours is 1" different from one end to the other of the bath (1.7m). Seems like a lot to me, especially for a 6yr old house.

That sounds about the same as ours as the floor in our bathroom conveniently slopes away from the plughole
