Nissan Serena, snapped window regulator cable

Hi All

My drivers side front window does not work due to a snapped cable on the regulator.

I don't want to bother with a repair kit so a second hand total replacement looks more likely.

Are they easy to replace, and how do I ensure the glass sits correctly when fully closed, does the regulator/motor do this for me.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Stripping the door will be the hardest here are a few links, just mind the side airbag sensors, treat them with care.
