No central heating Ideal classic FF350

Hi,

Somebody please help. Have Ideal Classic FF350. Pilot light ignites for hot water (pressed hot water advance) but central heating not working. Have changed downstairs thermostat to try to get it to work but to no avail. flaming freezing! Central heating light is on on timer system but no pilot light and no heating. Please help!

Look for a 2 port valve or maybe a 3 port valve. This will probably be your problem.

Thanks for coming back to me. Am very new to this so forgive my ignorance. where can i find this 2 or 3 port valve?

Usually in the airing cupboard, but sometimes elsewhere.

You will either have 2 x 2 port or 1 x 3 port valve
