Dear Heating Boffins

I have (an ancient-looking!) IDEAL type E CF conventional flue gas boiler, model 35N.

Last night after turning the heating off, my wife ran a bath for herself. She was almost coming to the end of running in her water when the hot water stopped dead - nothing from all hot taps. Cold water all fine, though.

About 2 hours later, hot water all back on, back to normal again....

Can you please help?

Thanks very much.

Float valve in large loft tank is probably either stiff or caked in limescale reducing its flow.

So when wife ran hot taps she actually emptied this tank.
