no hot water and no heating

I've switched the central heating on....the pilot is lit....i can hear the water trying to heat up in the system...but the water is not getting not nor the radiators. when i opened the bottom panel of the boiler the light are all on (fan, burner, pilot & boiler)
please help!

What make is the boiler,is it a combi, need more info

its a Baxi solo.....i also looked at the red tank thing in the cupboard...i think its called the expansion vessel. the red needle is between 1 & 2 and the black needle is on 0. can i assume that the pressure is low or off which is causing the issue? if so ...how do i re-pressurise it? i can see a red cover like tap at the top of it.

there,ll be a silver braided filling loop somewhere adjacent the xpansion vessel, you need to open the loop by the tap and fill up to 1-1.5 bar or take the black needle upto where the red one is. Once youve done that turn the fill loop to off, you dont want any more water entering the boiler.hth

Thats probably them then, open one and then the other slowly to see if the pressure increases
