We have a Baxi boiler, with gravity feed tank in loft for hot water, tank in airing cupboard etc. Upstairs we have two bathrooms, with three hot water taps - two are fine, but one, in a basin, has no hot water at all coming from it. Have tried hooking up a hose to the hot and cold taps to force out any air lock, but this fails - it seems to me that the water flow stops quickly, as if the cold water is meeting immediate resistance. Am I not turning on the tap enough, does it need really blasting? The hot tap itself does seem to reach full opening very quickly, could this be related to washers, could this block water flow?
A little while ago our washing machine downstairs was changed from dual flow to a cold-flow model only, with the result that the old machine hot supply pipe is now simply turned off there underneath the basin, and is not connected to anything where it used to go into the machine. The wash basin now has very slow hot water which after a while stops - could these be connected? The hot taps downstairs are all fine apart from this one.
Thanks for any suggestions, and apologies for mentioning a w/m in this section but it seemed relevant!
