No hot water unless central heating is ON

Hi All

I have Potterton Prima 40F boiler, and couple of days ago the hot water disappeared.

I've found out that the hot water comes back if the heating is turned on.
The cylinder motorised valve seems to be working as the lever moves from A to B when the cylinder thermostat is turned on and the pipe on the both sides of the valve gets hot when central heating is on and boiler is lit.
Having the valve manually opened permanently does not help .

Central heating is working fine .

Any ideas ?
